(c) Bedford Park Festival
The 60th Bedford Park Festival returns this June with a programme that reflects the event’s long-standing reputation as one of west London’s best-loved community and arts festivals. Running from 12th to 28th June 2026, the festival brings together local residents, artists, musicians and performers for more than two weeks of cultural and community events centred around St Michael & All Angels Church and the surrounding Bedford Park area.
First established in 1967, the festival was created to celebrate the arts, strengthen community spirit and raise funds for the church and local charitable causes. Over the decades it has become closely linked with Bedford Park’s identity as one of the world’s earliest garden suburbs and has played an important role in preserving the area’s architectural and cultural heritage. Organisers say the festival still remains true to its founding ideals of creativity, inclusivity and neighbourhood involvement.

The programme combines music, visual arts, theatre, literature, talks, walks and family activities, with events designed to appeal to all ages. Highlights include concerts by established and emerging musicians, art and photographic exhibitions, poetry and spoken-word evenings, guided heritage walks and community gatherings. The opening Green Days Fête and Craft Fair on Acton Green is expected to once again attract large crowds with live entertainment, food stalls, children’s activities and local crafts.
A strong emphasis is also placed on accessibility and community participation. Alongside ticketed performances, the festival includes free events, youth activities and opportunities for local artists and performers to showcase their work. Proceeds from the festival support St Michael & All Angels Church as well as a number of charitable organisations working in areas including homelessness, education and cancer support.

Now marking its 60th anniversary, the Bedford Park Festival continues to celebrate the creative and community spirit that has defined it for generations, while maintaining its place as a much-loved fixture in the west London cultural calendar.
