About Us

The local green guide is run by a small group of like minded people based in the UK who are passionate about what they do. Founded by Karen Parnell in 2008 the green guide was created to help support and promote local green companies.

Currently being green isn’t as easy as it should be because we sometimes have to go out of our way to shop green. But by supporting those that are already doing it we should see them flourish encouraging other businesses to form, making green shopping easier.

Our team are all home based and spend their time, locating and approaching green businesses, promoting, marketing and updating the site.
